Kathy is a seasoned business leader and a licensed consulting psychologist who specializes in executive leadership coaching, strategic visioning and planning, executive team functioning, and leadership and corporate culture assessment and transformation. She brings to her clients more than 35 years of experience in business management, board leadership, professional consulting, leadership coaching, and clinical practice. As one of few women selected for AT&T’s prestigious senior management development program, she conducted international business, delivered management development programs, and led a variety of successful functional teams. She was recently named to Leadership Oklahoma.
Kathy has a passion for helping leaders do the deeper work of developing their leadership effectiveness to have a greater positive impact on the organizations they lead. She is known for developing strong, trusting client relationships, helping them achieve greater self-awareness, self-management, and transparency. She stays up-to-date with best practices and is specially trained in gold standard assessments that deliver her clients important insights.
She has a keen interest in coaching women, having personally navigated the political waters of corporate and private industry. She develops and delivers women’s leadership programs with the goal of helping women unleash their strengths, give power to their voice, and effectively influence outcomes in the environments they invest themselves in. She is also a mother and understands the struggles women face in their lives in achieving the elusive “balance” they desire.
Kathy is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Her work/family doctoral research was awarded the Society of Consulting Psychology’s International Outstanding Dissertation, and as such, she was invited to speak at the national APA conference. She holds an MBA, with honors, from Oklahoma City University, a Master’s degree in counseling from Oklahoma State University, and an undergraduate degree in Communication Consultancy from Oklahoma State University. She serves as an adjunct faculty member in the OUHSC College of Pharmacy Leadership Institute, a program she helped design, develop, and deliver, along with an annual CVS National Leadership Symposium.
Kathy built and owned a successful psychology private practice for 13 years. She was appointed by Governor Brad Henry to the Oklahoma Science and Technology Council. She was the second woman elected to serve as President of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association National Board. She also served 18 years and was the first female chairperson of her community’s Hospital Board. Currently, she is a co-founding board member of Avedis, a $100 million dollar health and wellness community foundation.
