Intersectional Allyship: Creating a Network of Champions

Choose to Challenge Series

Inspired by this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Choose To Challenge, we’re hosting a series of workshops, panels, and chats, to rally for women’s equality, question stereotypes, callout biases, and encourage others to commit to forging a more inclusive world. Our goal is to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements as well as to educate our membership on ways they can continue to become better advocates for themselves and others.

From challenge comes change, which is why we encourage you to embark on a journey this March and join us as we navigate these challenges to build a more inclusive workplace and world.

About Intersectional Allyship: Creating a Networking of Champions

Allies hold the power and the key to stimulate positive change. Representation in the workplace is important and multi-intersecting identities can bring varying degrees of challenges. Traditional allyship called for men to stand up for women and carry the full weight of allyship, but women can be actionable allies and show up for other women in meaningful ways.

Explore how we can use our individual and collective areas of privilege to promote equity in an intersectional context. Allyship is a powerful catalyst for change but requires the continual investment of time and effort to hold ourselves accountable. Through this interactive workshop, you will learn how to navigate intersectionality across identities, bridge divides in the workplace, address key challenges for women and minorities, and foster an environment of inclusion. You will emerge better able to create equity and belonging across differences and amplify underrepresented voices. By refining how we think about representation, allyship, and inclusion in the workplace, you'll learn how to create a diverse network of champions to support your career.
