#BreakTheBias: How to Manage Implicit and Explict Bias In Negotiations

#BreakTheBias: How to Manage Implicit and Explicit Bias In Negotiations

In honor of International Women's Day and this year's theme #BreakTheBias we are hosting a Free virtual workshop exploring the topic of bias in negotiations.

Join us and WIN Coach and Leadership Strategist Elizabeth Suarez on March 21 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm (ET).

Have you ever experienced bias in negotiation? Women often face gender bias and thus experience backlash when they do engage in negotiation. One study in the Journal of Applied Psychology showed that counterparts are less likely to come to an agreement when one party is a female negotiator empowered by a strong alternative. Gender discrimination and related biases continue to put us at a disadvantage and negatively impact our success at the negotiation table. Knowing that biases exist isn’t enough.

In this workshop we will address the following:

1. What is bias in negotiation?  How can it be identified and managed?

2. The 6 emotional biases that could make you less effective at the negotiation table.

3. The 4 biases that could assist in a negotiation.

You will walk away from this workshop knowing how to better manage any type of bias while tackling the necessary challenges to ensure an acceptable outcome for all parties involved.
